Customise Workspace Terminology to Match Your Environment

Terminology often requires customisation to better suit your needs. This can be customised for the below:

  • Desk (Singular)
  • Desks (Plural)
  • Office (Singular)
  • Offices (Plural)
  • Room (Singular)
  • Rooms (Plural)
  • Meeting (Singular)
  • Meetings (Plural)
  • Meeting Room (Singular)
  • Meeting Rooms (Plural)

Contact your CSM to enable Workspace Terminology.  Details can be found on the help page.

Once enabled, to update navigate to Settings < Account > Account Settings and click the drop down for Workspace Terminology. Remember to save any changes.

Once updated, these terms automatically appear throughout Clearooms excluding Plans & Billing & API/Plugins.

  • The new labels replace the default terms instantly for all users.
  • Updates are reflected across the web portal, mobile app, and kiosk interfaces.
  • No page refresh or logout is required.

 

Current Restrictions

  • No updates will be reflected in the Plans & Billing pages. Products on invoices will remain as Desks or Meeting Rooms regardless of changes
  • No updates will be reflected on the Apps & Integrations, Plugin/API pages

Why might you want to change terminology?

Within your workspace, you may prefer to label desks as pods or meeting rooms as breakout areas etc. Workspace Terminology allows Clearooms to be more relevant to all types of industries, such as laboratories, libraries, beauty rooms, and so much more.
